RECYCLE: For more than a decade, we’ve recycled all of our waste paper. We also recycle all print plates and dispose of all ink waste and press solutions to ensure that these materials do not end up in our groundwater or landfills. Plus, as a certified FSC printer, we can ensure that the paper we’re using for our customers’ print needs contains fiber from well-managed and responsibly harvested forests.

RENEW: Our commitment to offset pollution from electricity with wind energy is helping limit greenhouse gas emissions. Hatteras purchases credits from a utility that purchases at least 50% renewable energy in the form of wind power.

CONSERVE: Even basic operations in our facility can make a difference. We replace fluorescent lighting with lower wattage lighting to reduce our energy usage and are staying on top of emerging products such as LED lighting that is expected to save even more energy use than incandescent lighting.
